The second HR Subject Matter Expert Summit will be held in Mumbai on September 23, 2011.
The first such Summit held in September 2010, gave birth to a unique collaboration between SHRM India and a team of over fifty volunteer HR Subject Matter Experts brought together by a shared vision to support and advance the HR profession through the SHRM India Knowledge Center.

As our initial offering, we organized several well received on-line chats and webinars on topics that were of interest to the HR community, with the support of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from various HR disciplines. We have now added an online Ask an HR Advisor Service. Starting August 8, 2011, HR professionals can write in to our full time HR Advisors and volunteer Subject Experts to seek advice on their current and future HR challenges.

This year’s Summit will take stock and define the Knowledge Center’s road map going forward, with feedback and advice from our Subject Matter Experts. This makes the HR SME Summit 2011 a pivotal platform.

In our endeavor to provide thought leadership and expand the frontiers for the HR Profession through strengthened partnerships, we look forward to expanding our advisory services to include:

• Increased SME interaction through existing Virtual Events, Social Media and Digital platforms as also through opportunities to engage with the HR Community in Workshops, Seminars and Panel Discussions
• Emerging HR areas such as HR Analytics, CSR & Sustainability, HR & Technology to name a few
• Setting the agenda on standards for HR that ensures organizational success within the profession
   

At the SHRM India Knowledge Center, we will continue to raise the bar in HR Advisory and Knowledge Services in the coming year. As a member of the HR fraternity, we welcome you to ‘Next.’
