The employment market for the Persian Gulf states (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates) is expected to remain stable during 2011, according to a recent report.

Base salaries for top executives at large European companies stagnated in 2010, but bonus payments rose, resulting in an overall increase in executive compensation.  

Multinational firms can improve pay and working conditions in foreign markets where they set up operations by adhering to minimum labor standards and by urging subcontractors in those markets to do the same, experts tell SHRM Online.
