Incentive Plans Hit Hard by Economy; Retention Efforts Increase

Decreased earnings and falling stock prices have shredded the value in some companies’ annual incentive and long-term incentive plans, according to a survey by Deloitte Consulting LLP.

The survey, completed at the end of September 2008, generated 151 responses from U.S. companies of all sizes in all industries, and found that:
