JOB TITLE: Head-Projects

DEPARTMENT: Projects/New Product Development

REPORTS INTO: Chief Executive Officer

DIRECT REPORTEES: Project Managers
 

PURPOSE: 
To drive the entire stretch of activities related to Management of new Projects - from acquiring Project to concept development to Planning, Designing, Completion and Commissioning.

DELIVERABLES:
• Customer Liaison
• Ensuring contractual adherence in all project stages complete with deviation checklists
• Ensuring timeline adherence of feasibility study for new projects

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To handle end to end Project management and ensuring logical completion and commissioning of the project with the available resources and within allocated time frame. This includes ensuring contractual adherence, maintaining the project schedule, monitoring and ensuring progress, co-ordination with team members, vendors and consultants, preparing project reports, MIS and other documentation.
• New product development and upgradation. This includes carrying out feasibility studies, identifying new opportunities, developing targets and corresponding plans for new products, budgeting for new products, working with the product development team to ensure development as per technical specifications.
• To coordinate with the marketing department to get monthly review on the performance of new products, after sale services provided and On the basis of this feedback,  make necessary modifications in the product in collaboration with the team.
• To collaborate with the vendors for product quality improvements
• To encourage creativity amongst the team through continuous upgradation of skills, identify high potential members for development and higher responsibilities and motivation of the team
• To communicate effectively with teams and drive them to achieve departmental targets as well as review and monitor these targets periodically .
• To help drive organizational processes such as ISO
• To drive Performance Management System within Project Management function to enhance team performance.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• BE /B.Tech
• 10-14 years of relevant experience, particularly in the project phase of the organization
