Varied work experience with several other companies in various sectors such as Consumer, Cement, Auto, Retail, Engineering, Media, Infrastructure, Mining, Financial Services etc. in the compensation, organization restructuring, job evaluation and banding areas. Currently at Mercer in the Talent Business and manages HR advisory and consulting projects for clients, across major industries Additionally manages some key relationships in Financial services and is also a Subject matter expert in the area of Compensation and Benefits.
Over 12 years of industry practitioner experience, in core HR domains ( C&B, Performance management, L&D and Business HR partner) across industries. Prior to joining Mercer, has worked for Marico industries where she led the Learning & Development function; ICICI Group , where she led Rewards and Performance Management for the Life Insurance company and Business HR for the Asset Management company. She has also worked for Asian Paints India Ltd and NIIT ltd where she was responsible for Generalist HR deliveries and Campus recruitment respectively, in the early years, post campus. Aparna has also done independent consulting assignments and was engaged with IL&FS financial Services, Bakrie Telecom ( Indonesia) among others. Holds a post graduate degree in English Literature from Delhi University’s Kirori Mal College. She completed her degree Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from XLRI, Jamshedpur.

After a stint with GE Capital he joined ICICI Prudential Life Insurance in November, 2000 and leading the HR team at ICICI Prudential Life since August, 2005. Graduated in Economics from Jadavpur University, Kolkata and is an alumnus of XLRI, Jamshedpur. He currently chairs the HR & Training committee of CII Western Region.
