Ms. Guin heads the Human Resources team at The Park Hotels & allied hospitality interests
of the company.
Educational background: After school and high school at Loreto House Kolkata, she completed graduation from Mount Holyoke College, USA, with a Bachelors degree - majoring in Biological Sciences & a minor in Psychology. Thereafter, she completed Post Graduation in Business Management from The National University of Singapore and Professional Development Programs in Human Resources Management at Cornell University and University of California, Los Angeles.
Experience & professional background: Her professional experience of fourteen years, include stints at M&T Bank in upstate New York, her family-run business in Kolkata and thereafter The Park Hotels from 2001. During her professional tenure, Ms. Guin has been on the HR/IR Subcommittee of CII (East), on the selection panels of Air India / Indian Airlines, IMT Ghaziabad and IIM Ranchi and the advisory council of World Hrd Congress. She is a member of SHRM and NHRD.
Other Interests: Art, interior design and travel.
Mrs. Deepa (Basu)Roy,

A performance oriented professional with over 11 years of experience in the area of Human Resource Development and Management. Ms. Roy is currently associated with Emami Group acting as HR Head. She expertise in Human Resource Management with respect to formulation and execution of HR policy for achieving organization goal by appropriate manpower planning, playing a pivotal role not only in recruitment process but also in entire performance management system.
Mrs. Basu is specialist in engaging new talent and creating new avenues for both organization and individual for succession planning by talent mining. She is also responsible for maintaining and enhancing work culture at the work place coordinating between organizational objective and that of the individual.
An adroit in labour law, Ms Roy takes special interest in maintaining industrial relationship having experience in deploying and coordinating operation of large task group and handling project demonstrating remarkable leadership qualities. She is a noted motivator and decision maker with proven track record in handling diversified manpower in a multi-cultural environment.
Shilpa Chakraborty is a Post Graduate in Business Finance from University of Calcutta. She is an Alumni of the National Institute Of Personnel Management and Symbiosis – Pune with Specialization in Human Resource. She is a certified Trainer of the India Society for Training & Development. She has also done a certification in Strategy from The Strategy Academy of India. She is a certified Assessor for Competency Based Assessment and possesses an International Certification of Thomas Profiling.
Shilpa has a over 15 years experience. Out of which her exposure is primarily in the core HR functions. Shilpa joined Consulting Industry at the beginning of her career and gained experience for around 10 years. Shilpa is currently acting as the Head of Human Resource for nearly 6 years.
In her current role she heads the HR function of TIL Limited in India and also the Nepal Operation of the company. She acts as an Advisor for the TIL Limited’s subsidiary in Myanmar – Myanmar Tractors Limited.
Shilpa is a member of the core HR team of Caterpillar Far East Dealers Association (CFEDA).
Her papers have been published in journal of Bombay Management Associations. Shilpa is an active member of Eastern India CII – IR and HR Subcommittee and also is an advisor for the CII Leadership Development Committee. She is very active as a Guest Lecturer at various professional institutes on subjects related to Human Resource Management.
